Yorkshire Payments is a merchant services provider based in Brighouse, West Yorkshire. They provide everything from contactless chip and pin machines through to more complex EPOS systems and e-commerce payment gateways. Upwards of 3,500 customers use their payment solutions, including restaurants, shops, bars, charities and online companies.

What Was Needed

As part of the opening of their new headquarters, Yorkshire Payments felt it was time their website was updated with a professional look and feel to compliment the company’s brand. Their website has many visitors who access the site to use their LiveChat service or find out if the products are suitable for their business. One of the main problems identified was the complicated navigation, making it difficult to find your way around. The website needed to provide a clearer presentation for potential customers visiting. The branding was not consistent throughout the site, and it was clear that it needed more focus on the products available. The site also had a very slow load speed that needed to be addressed.

What We Did

We simplified the website design to the most important elements. We stripped back any confusing jargon and updated all product images with professional photography. The style of the website is now in line with their brand, and features linking elements, including bespoke icons and graphics. We gave the website a strong professional look with an added personal touch. To show subtle hints of Yorkshire Payments personality, there are some quirkier elements throughout the site, such as the interactive YP rose.
